Photographer's Note

One of the things in photography I find myself lacking is Landscape Photography. I somehow cannot take good pictures of landscapes (not that I take good pictures of other things) & more I see the brilliant landscape shots in TE, I feel envious & introspect, why I cannot. Perhaps I am not able to perceive properly what would make a good picture, because the scale of the landscape.

This is my modest try on a picturesque landscape.
The site is Khajjiar, from where I have already posted a couple of pictures earlier,
a broad sweeping view and
an equine view.
This is a view of the other side of the meadow.

Khajjiar is a small hill station in Chamba District, Himachal Pradesh, India. Another hill station, Dalhousie, is 24 km away. Khajjiar sits on a small plateau with a small stream-fed lake in the middle that has been covered over with weeds. The hill station is surrounded by green meadows and dense forests. It is about 6500 ft. (1981m) above sea level in the foothills of the Dhauladhar ranges of the Western Himalayas and snow peaks can be seen in the distance.

Khajjiar is often called the Mini Switzerland of Himachal Pradesh and was officially baptized thus by the Swiss Ambassador on July 7 1992. It has a rare combination of three ecosystems: lake, pasture and forest, all in one place.

The red roofed building is a Hotel. Attached is a small playground with large transparent balloons.

PS: After receipt of the viewers critiques, I have posted a WS, cropping the grass in the FG. Post crop, the picture has now got a panoramic format. But I have to thank all the critics for their feedback. Thanks to you, I've learnt something new today. I really appreciate it.
