Photographer's Note

It was taken from Deoriatal which is a lake at a high altitude of 5000ft with a lovely view of the 23,000ft high Chaukhamba peaks. The nearest town is Ukhimath, but one can start trek from Sari village from where the lake is only 3 km away

Welcome to the wonderful world of TE, a place for travelling around the world through photography.

You started with a good one from my favourite Uttaranchal. It's a nice, clean and sharp image, but a bit overexposed. The reflection of sun on the snow-capped peaks could have been controlled a bit.

Your first post is good. Beautiful scene in a high altitude. Nice colours and reflections on the water. The quality could have been better, I think. This is a nicely composed shot using the reflection to create nice balance and symmetry. The lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness and detail.
