Photographer's Note

Pigs clean the streets, cows wander and vendors hawk their goods. Just another day in many towns in India. The vegetables and fruits are locally grown and fresh. There is little variety in what to buy, but no one minds. Majority of Indians eat the same main dish twice a day, every day.

As you say, gloria, this could be any number of North Indian towns. A good composition of daily life.

The contrast between these buildings
(which surely have collapsed shortly after you took this photo) and the people with their nice colorful clothes is always amazing to me.

I like this photo very much. Lot's of interesting details.

IMO the contrast and sharpness needs to be improved.
