Local gas station, a photo from Jammu and Kashmir, North

Photographer's Note

On the main market street in leh, among the vegetables and fruits vendors, i found this man selling petrol for the cooker. That reminds me of another pic from a local petrol station in Djenne in mali that I might post to compare... That gives me the idea to create a gas station theme;-)) any participant is welcome. But please avoid posting your regular down the street ESSO or SHELL gaz station... unless very particular and different;-)

I like this photo with the blue bottles.. the expression on the face is a bit strange thought... it looks like he has his eyes shut...Funny setting i like it...

Interesting shot, Eric. I like how you've caught the guy crouched down near his bottles and the brown container behind them serves to enhance the blues in the bottles. I wish though that there was a just a bit more room over his head. He seems a little squished in the frame. Also, I might crop the LHS to take out the white thing (bag?) in the lower left corner.

I am glad that he is not smoking, Eric. This is a very interesting shot. I wonder why the petrol is blue, but this color serves your composition very well, together with the blue comtaine in the background. I like his expression, he looks quite happy with his job. Well, petrol is always a good investment ;-)

This photo reminds me of the make shift petrol stations I saw in Cambodia (Thanks for the inspiration- I think that'll be my next posting). In further reading of your note, I see your suggestion of a gas station theme- we do think alike! hahaha
Interesting expression on the man's face, do you know why? Was it the fumes?
