Photographer's Note
This Temple was built in the 15th century. Tanah Lot is linked to a series of sea temples on the south coast of Bali: Pura Sakenan, Pura Ulu Watu, Pura Rambut Siwi and Pura Peti tenget. All these temples are related to the principal mountain sanctuaries: Besakih at Gunung Agung, Pura Batur at Batur and Plura Luhur at Mt. Batukau. The upland temples venerate deities associated with mountains and mountain lakes, while the sea temples include homage to the guardian spirits of the sea within their ritual. These main temples are often listed with the sad-kahyangan the six holy "national" temples, which exact tribute from all Balinese.
When the tide is low people can walk to the temple. It looks like a floating one if the tide is high. There are many caves under the temple lived by the peaceful sea snakes, which has white and black colors.
Many people coming in the afternoon to enjoy beautiful sunset from this place. But it's really on someone's luck maybe, I came there 5 times never got the luck to see perfect sunset there :(
This person is one of the priests guarding the temple and the snake caves.

hi cessy,
a beautiful compo,u placed everything very well.the light on the priest is precious.I had better not to see those many tourists but one can't do so many things for that, everywhere and everytime there are tourists, and since u've found the light at that time, what else.

Framing is perfect. I really like how you positioned the man in the corner of the frame with the temple/structure in the background. The people in the distance add scale as well as give us a second point of interest. The highlights seem to be a little overexposed, but I'm sure you can solve this in PS. Anyway, quite an interesting shot you've got here. Well done!

Hi Cessy, A very nice POV and a very nice portrait. A very well capture of the character's expression and details of the face. At the same time, the beautiful scenery is well shown in the picture. An excellent picture.

A nice framing in the vertical format, Cessy, in which the old man is ideally placed in the corner and provides a natural way of attracting the viewer's attention of the view towards the temple. Beautiful colors, perhaps some tweaking of the contrast to find a bit more detail in the middle could work on this one. Well done.

Hi Cessy, what a nice shot. The way the light in hitting the priest is really special. It would be interesting to see this place under high tide for comparison. But your POV is great. Excellent Cessy!

Hi Cessy. A very beautiful photo. I like the lively colours as well as the shine of the water. Nice architecture. The trees look brilliant aganst the cloudy blue sky. Great composition. The guard on the right makes this photo most appealing. Thanks for posting it for us.

Hi Cessy,
What a fascinating and unusual scene you have portrayed here. I love the clarity and colour. One can feel the sand beneath one's feet here. Most effective is your POV, as the viewer is suddently sitting beside the man contmplating the temple. A great capture and I really like your portrait format here.
