Another one from my backlog of files I wish to share:

Part of Tengger massif, Mount Bromo 2300m elevation is an active volcano located in East Java, with its recent eruption in Feb this year. Far behind is another hyper active Mt Semeru volcano 3600m asl constantly puffing volcanic ash out every half hour or so.

The lonely skeletal tree, probably is just the hardiest thing I ever came across and as iconic as the place itself for good reason. It just keeps standing no matter what...

Without much exaggeration, it𠏋 truly an unforgettable moment that leaves many awestruck, the tree included...

Setting: 34 mm, 25 sec, F22, ISO Raw 100, 0622 hrs, ND filter, polarised & tripod mounted

Wow! Now I regret I did not to the Bromo excursion when I was in Malang region. It looks spectacular, and the early morning fog adds an eerie atmosphere. Tfs!

An exceptional photo. GREAT vantage point. We can see the whole story, the clouds add added mystery, the tree depth, the smoke power, the mountains history. Very good - I like it very much.

I've seen many picturesof this famous place . This one is one of the best.
Fantastiv view of the volcanoes emerging from the amazing low clouds . The dead tree in the FG is a great feature of the composition .

This really is an awesome photograph, in the true meaning of the word!
Your elevated position gave you a very special view of both volcanoes.
You mention the tree, which is so important to your photograph, both for the symbolism and for its well placed position.

Certainly a glorious photo on this wonderful morning, ideal those clouds between the two volcanoes that seem to arise from them, ideal the backlight of that tree even without leaves.

A truly amazing photo from a fantastic vantage point. The mountain landscape looks great in this gentle, early morning sunlight, which added a nice and warm glow to the low-hanging and smooth clouds, which enveloped the steep hills beautifully. Such a wonderful and serene mood, too.

Ah, what a view this is. You were lucky to get it, we were stuck in the clouds when we were up there!) Many things to like, not just the good old Bromo. Also the clouds, the tree, the giant volcano at the horizon, the clouds, the colours in the corner...tops! Thanks for sharing this one. I'm surprised you waited 11 years before sharing this one, but thanks a lot & cheers from Antwerp.

Hello Abmdsudi, this scene has an unreal almost dream-like quality about it.
You do not tell us just how high you were to achieve this picture; it must have been pretty high!
The skeleton of the tree is 'the icing on the cake' completing the scene beautifully.
