A venture into minimalism, perhaps not to everyone's taste. Normally I prefer clouds and interest in my sky but on this late afternoon clear warm light, I also found myself increasingly attracted by simplicity.
This moving outrigger canoe I thought was an ideal subject. Cropped fraction of negative space on top, took this on the shores of Tanjung Punai, Belitung island.

Setting: 200 mm, 1/400 sec, F7.1, ISO Raw 200, 1719 hrs

Very drmatic and also nostalgic postcard image.
Simple composition, but that is why so appealing at all. Small boat on sharp focus is so clear agaist the background.

Hi Abmdsudi,

I like the soft pastel colours and lighting. It's not always necessary to have bright gaudy colours. The faded pink sky contrasts well with the fg blue water. Tfs!
