The women in Bali, are hard workers and they are very strong. They were trained from childhood to carry things on their head.

Although maybe so heavy, they may take it relaxly or even they may stop and chat for a while :)

Hi Cessy,
I think I had already seen this image in your portfolio, maybe in a WS.
I like it very much, I found the DOF and the light both very good.
I like the concentration on the woman's face !

Very nice capture of this woman. It looks extremely heavy what she is carrying on her head. You managed the light very well in tough light conditions. Good natural framing.

Hi Cessy, It looks like a heavy duty work with acting of balance. A nice shot with the special woman in work scene. Nice use of shallow DoF.

A well composed shot with superb lighting. This looks like an early morning scene, with filtered light and a warm amebience.The colourful dress the lady is wearing contrasts with the harsh stone and low light of the morning. Great dynamics here and a great POV.

A nice photo of the working woman, Cessy, and an admirable capability - I would not be able to carry a small fraction of what she does on my head ... A good balancing of the exposure, and lovely vivid colors all over. The WS are nice adds, particularly the one with the chatting ladies.

Nice composition and also interesting see the way of life of that woman. The light and the colours are also good, but I think that needs a bite more of sharpness.

Hi Cessy. Well thanks for uploading the WS's as they give us the complete picture. I think your main shot is the best one because of the light and shadows plus the colors are good. I'm glad you did this one as a color as opposed to a b/w. Nice shot Cessy!

Hi Cessy,
What first pops up in my mind is that it seems risky to carry things that way with such shoes over such an unequal pavement !
The woman expression suggests it's not quite the most comfortable situation she ever found herself in. Other than that it's a well framed photo where I like too the good DoF. Compo is fine too as the off centering frees space to suggest her movement to the left.

Hi Cessy.

I think you have bad judgement in your photos, both yesterday and today.
Before you think I will write something rude, it's just my opinion that the workshops are so good that they overshadow your photo, as they are very, very good, not like this one, which is just very good ( with one very ). I like all of them so much!

Hello Cessy, lovely shot. Indeed a very heavy load, all those coconuts, and she is looking a bit worried. I like the light coming from behind and shining so nicely through her skirt.
By studying the women in Indonesia, how they descend on mountain slopes, I learned how to descend as well. They move their hips far more up and down then we here are used to do, that way the knees do not suffer that much.

I admire the pictures in your folio..I can relate with your Bali shots having been there a few months ago. Amazing pictures you have. Simple composition this one, but stating so many things. The strain in her face is visible even though they take this in their stride. I like the two complimentary pix in the WS, as a commentary. Excellent DOF here. To me, a perfect photo.
