Photographer's Note
This is the second installment of my festival pic.
These trail of people were at least 30 men strong, but the whole parade of people were about 2 to 300 strong and they were dancing a playing these instruments all along the street, ti was truly amazing. These particular instruments were like gongs played with a wooden hammer, they would walk down the street a bit and then perform a ritual symbolising good luck to the surrounding houses for a prosperous new year, because in Japan, when Spring comes, it means a new beginning and all these dancing and instrument playing meant that the houses near them were going to have good luck, some of the people from the houses donate money to the buddhists who walk down these streets during the parade.
It was truly amazing.
I hope you like their costumes and their traditional footwear.
I havent altered anything, just cropped a bit of the sides
I hope you like it

Very well captured scene, Dan. A colorful moment and a very interesting performance those guys are giving, too bad I can't hear the sound of it. A lot of lines and patterns in this shot. Overall it seems to be leaning to the left a bit, but it's not too bad. Thanks for sharing!

I lke the cropping here. I also like the fact that you have this vertically a sit shows the view top-bottom. Good shot.

Daniel, It's not often that I see a static shot that is quite so animated, a neat trick and a good shot.

Hard light conditions, but even so, I like very much the way you captured it, Daniel. The row of dancing people, dressed up in carnival costumes makes your shot so vivid and full of festive atmosphere. The details of their clothes are very interesting. A picture in a typical TE spirit. Very well done!

Interesting picture!! When I went to Takayama, I missed this festival.
There are quite old houses like Nihonkaoku in this photo. So I like it.
Their Yukata's Obi is too long and it is funny.
