Photographer's Note

Here is downtown of the top of Japan in the Shinjuku east exit. A lot of young people go in and out regardless of day and night. This narrow area lines with a restaurant, a recreation hall, a movie theater, and a suspicious shop, etc.
The atmosphere of the town has not changed though postwar days pass very much.

On the other hand, the Shinjuku east exit lines with the skyscraper and forms one large business group. The reason is that the maintenance of the post-ground was easy because it moved though there was a huge place of storing water in this ground before.

In such a meaning, the Shinjuku west exit and the east exit show an object spectacle.

This photograph is the one having taken it back of the alley in the kabukicho of midnight.
