Photographer's Note
This is the most photographed building in Kyoto: The Golden Pavilion at Kinkaku-ji.
I was looking for an angle that would differentiate it from the many other photos of this building, not only in trekearth but in various photowebsites.
I finally settled on framing it.
I took the color of the inner frame from one of the trees and the color of the outer frame from the golden pavilion itself.

Beautifully done and very well framed.
Unique style.
I like the clear reflection too.

i like the composition, nice reflection in the pond, good details. colours are a bit oversaturated for me though, and, sorry but i don't really like the frame.

I'd have liked to have seen more DOF to this. An aperture of f8 could have done wonders. Also, it appears way oversaturated. An the inner frame would haved worked better (IMHO) on it's own.
Now, onto the pluses. The reflections are great, really stunning. It's truly like looking into a mirror. The contrast works well, and, perhaps most importantly, your idea is spot on.
All in all, a good shot.

Nice Kinkakuji time. I'll try to take a picture of it in a snowy day, maybe one of its best times around the year. Great reflections in your picture. Regards.
