The modernity in Daily Life, a photo from Tokyo, Kanto

Photographer's Note

The woman who was wearing the straw hat walks quickly along the slope which leads in the wicket of a station with a basket to a hand. The environment are usual and activity space in which anything does not have a change. Although it was still a spring season, her yellow straw hat was strangely on my mind. The vending machine placed beside the passage symbolized the minerals nature of modern society.

Hello Mikio,
This is a good composition and an interesting experiment in post-processing. The woman looks quite exotic in her yellow straw-hat, and for Europeans the many Japanese signs add more exotism. This is a fine combination of modern attitudes and a traditional environment.

Naice taken the young lady's yellow hat in color, and gave a super-contrast with the B&W scene.
I was about to call the refrigirator on left as the most moderrn element her - but you did mention this as a vending machine...
By the way, the woman stride is well balanced posture, strait and confident - I can detect this by her body-language.

You have selected the pale yellow hat to maintain its colour, the est is interestingly in B&W. There are many different items here, all worth studying. An attractive and artistic capture.

The mono version eliminates the clutter around her and bit of yellow strikes the eye and the effect that you are after is achieved with shallow depth of field. She is sharp in focus with nice sense dynamism. A well spotted subject with excellent narratives to guide us along. Well done, TFS
