Photographer's Note
This photograph is taken in Ninna-ji in Kyoto. Ninna-ji is a temple of the head temple of the Omuro School of the Singon Sect of Buddhism in Omuro, Ukyō-ku, Kyoto-shi, Kyoto. it was founded in AD 888 by the retired Emperor Uda. It registers with world heritage as "cultural assets of ancient city Kyoto. It is a deep temple of the Imperial Household and the connection. Many Japanese-style rooms are in a building like a photograph, and the ornament describing the flower or the bird is given to the shōji, the folding screen, and the sliding door(Fusuma). This is considered that the painter of the Kano school of the Azuchi-Momoyama era(1573–1603)drew. Up to modern Japan, common people, a samurai, and aristocrat were living in such a Japanese-style room, although there was a difference simpleness and gorgeous. It is after that a bed began to go into Japan goes into Meiji Era(1868–1912)which stopped the national isolation policy. at that time, a few beds were made as the tool of some senior bureaucrats and a rich man. It is from the postwar period (1945 - ) that a bed generally began to spread in Japan.
(p.s.)
shōji:
The shōji is a door, window or room divider consisting of translucent paper over a frame of wood which holds together a lattice of wood or bamboo.
the folding screen:
The folding screen is a type of free-standing furniture. It consists of several frames or panels, which are often connected by hinges or by other means.
Fusuma:
The fusuma is vertical rectangular panels which can slide from side to side to redefine spaces within a room, or act as doors.

Hi Mikio,
A very peaceful and pleasant interior picture. No furniture but very attractive wall decorations. The collection of straight lines provide a very fine composition. An interesting scene and a very different Kind regards

Backlight used superbly here, enhanced the painting on the paper-walls, Mikio.
Nice the yellowish tones, differently shades upon, but a good view of the art details depicted upon.

Hello Mikio,
This is a beautiful view of this artistic room. I like all of the elements: the bamboo, the wood, the painted screens, etc. So many things in Japan are artistic, from the traditional homes to the food and the traditional clothes. I always think very fondly about my two trips to Japan. It would be great to return again one day...

Hi dear Mikio. I hope you are fine as you have been quiet on TE recently.I have always loved the Japanese minimalist style of traditional hose interiors. Plus, the paintings are subtle and not overdone. I love the flock of cranes (or is it geese) flying in formation- indicating a particular season. Best wishes. Klaudio.

Hello Mikio,
How are you doing? I have noticed that your activity level on TE has gone down, are you feeling alright?
This is a very nice view of a traditional Japanese room, the kind I would see only in movies. Maybe one day, I'll have a chance to visit your lovely country and see these things for myself.
Regards,
MT
