In 1723, a canal connecting Hamamatsu and seaport Kaketsuka at the Tenryu river mouth was completed but only an illigation ditch is left today.

Interesting photo, I like the way you have managed to capture the sudden break between the hedge of an obvious urban settlement and the open spacious areas on the right side.
The way you have positioned the "path" in the road really leads ones view down the loooooong road.
Picture seems to be a little grainy though, but nothing that ruins anything.
