Photographer's Note

Hyotoko est un personnage assez connu du folklore Nippon. Il sagit en fait de cet homme ivre, la bouche tordue et une serviette sur la t皻e. Hyuga, petite ville de Miyazaki, lui consacre chaque ann嶪 durant l彋 un festival, durant lequel des amateurs du personnage saffrontent dans des concours de danse . Dans entre guillemets car la dans du personnage est, comment dire ?, un peu sp嶰iale (mais dr犨e).
Cet homme se pr廧arait participer au concours. Vraisemblablement, en bon pro, il semblait regarder une derni鋨e fois si la lani鋨e de son masque 彋ait bien fix嶪.

Hyotoko is a well known character of the japanese folklore. In fact, its this drunk man, with a towel on his head and a twisted mouth. Hyuga, a little town of Miyazaki, consecrate a matsuri to him each year, during summer. During the festival, some lovers of the character confront themselves in a dance contest (if we call dance the strange dance of this drunk man).
This man prepared himself to participate to the contest. He seemed to check for the last time if the strap of his mask was well fixed.
