Photographer's Note
Can you see the large crowd in the streets? Is it a festival or big event? No, it is just a normal view of this famous "scramble" pedestrian crossing in front of Shibuya station where this scene is repeated every few minutes. Of course some times of the day are busier than others.
It would be interesting to get a count of how many people cross the street at this intersection during the 60 second or so pedestrian crossing interval. It is kind of mesmerizing to watch.
Considering that this was a handheld shot taken through a window, it came out about as well as I could have hoped. Tech: scanned negative at 1800dpi, in PS adjusted Brightness/Contrast, Cropped, Blurred to reduce grain, resized then Sharpened.

This shot conveys the specacle of a Tokyo intersection well. The high vantage point makes the people look like ants, which (again) accurately conveys the feeling of being in that situation. Your framing is well done, with parallel verticals and careful attention to the edges of the frame.

This is nice. I like the perspective here, looking across at all the people walking through the street. The sky and neon lights add a sense of adventure to the shot. Just one small comment: I wonder how it would look if you cropped off all the cars on the bottom of the picture and just had people walking across the street. I think it would emphasize your subject even more.

Very nice composition and effective composition to show a piece of Japan. Very impressive indeed.
