The lovely part of any travel out of your country is to explore at night, at least the night market in this case where prices of some goods are insanely cheap. The challenge though is restraint...plenty of it so as not to buy so much on impulse.

Hello again Michelle

You're my posting neighbour today! And what's this? Two postings in as many days? You're back on form I see. I really like this street market shot, and taken at a critical time of day when there is still some light in the sky to create visual interest. The illuminated stalls with their red awnings are a strong counterpoint to the dark surroundings. In fact maybe the foreground is really too dark, as the figures have largely disappeared into the gloom. I wondered if there was any information in those shadows, so I had a look in P'shop, and came up with this W/S. I wonder what you think...

Hi Mics
when I travel I try to get back to the hotel at a reasonable time, don't want to stay out too late :)
but that's just for safety reasons.

if you know an area to be safe, then staying out at night can be very rewarding indeed.

its the atmosphere that I like most here, especially with the contrasting reds and blues.
fun shot, it turned out well in the darkness, with hints of light.

Ciao cara Mics

A beautiful nightshot, I love the deep denim blue tones and the great sense of dynamism. Nightmarkets are always so much fun and so interesting, characteristic and yummy. In Asia, they seem to do them so well. My nightly raids of the nightmarkets in Malaysia were the highlight of my trip there. I also like the effect of the shadows cast on the ground by all the people. Excellent work.
