Sweet potatoes anyone?, a photo from Vientiane, North

Photographer's Note

Late afternoon hawkers are coming to down town Vientiane, where most government offices and one of the three regional bus terminals are located. They are offering all kind of snacks like fruits, spicy salads and like in the photograph above steamed sweet potatoes. Who has to use the public mass transports will have a long way home, so many care for a snack.

Hello Urs,
You seem to have an eye for these interesting daily life scenes. I like the presence of the man here preparing his food for sale. Good point of view, where the background though quite busy does not interfere with the main subject. Very good technical presentation.

Another fine street scene, a nice depiction of daily life there as we are obviously attracted to the contrasty stunning colours as much as you do. I think you have captured the scene and reality so beautifully portraying the day-to-day activity. The compo is impressive as is the lighting and vividness of colours. In fact everything going for it and I feel as if I am almost standing there taking in the scene. Great shot, and TFS
