Photographer's Note

Sarawak's Gawai Festival is held each year on June 1, 2 to celebrate annual field harvest, and taking advantage of the holidays, we trekked the Sadir Village nearby areas to reach this Skedu waterfall. It does not have the usual splash of flow but has one strong stream of drop which gives unusually strong force for a body massage. Named simply as Hoe, the iron-man is born, seen here taking his stand and iron-man's pose, to use the natural spring water to neutralize his physical body balance. The thick foilage above this area allowed very little light through and I had difficulty focus sharply, as we did not bring along tripod to lighten our weight. And no, hard to find a resting place to sit the camera too. But I was lucky to avoid blur except for iron-man's body motion. We trekked to 2 different waterfalls this day for 4 hours, first one was Mabi waterfall, then this Skedu waterfall.

Yes, I stood under the splash and my shoulder muscle pain came later, it was almost like 30kg of force rushing down on your shoulder for 20 minutes duration. But the pain recovered 2 days later. Thank you for visiting.
