Photographer's Note

Amarapura, one of the most magnificent places in Burma, no mechanisation, no cars, no noise, just people living in harmony with nature. The foot-bridge has stood for over two centuries so its rather rickety and wobbly and there are large gaps between some of the planks.

Its over 1 km long across Taungthaman Lake - being the worlds longest teakwood bridge, and the traffic is heavy with many children going to and from school, vendors, monks, women with loaded head baskets and cyclists, although these are not supposed to ride across.

Indeed is a peaceful place to relax, socialise or just to have a nice stroll with great views.

Just a simple shot before nightfall....
