Ubein Bridge, Amarapura, one of the famous touristic place in Myanmar. The bridge itself was built in 1841, originally only with teak woods, by the Mayor called U Bein. It was built across a lake. The lake had lots of water after every rainy-season, provide fish for the neighboring villages. Fisherman can be seen almost everyday. The way of fishing depends on the level water in the lake. Here is one. I took this picture in October, 2004. One month before, there was uncommon heavy rain in this region and the bridge was under water for a while. It even lean to a side, so that the renovation has been made few months later.
The original pic was little over exposed. I try to correct with photoshop. Please give me comments whatever flaws in this pic.

Different point of view on this very famous bridge. Water level seemed quite high for October. Diagonal composition of the bridge lead me to the other section of the bridge. Exposure seemed ok to me and color and sharpness are good too. How the weather and life in there?

Ok, you finally got your computer fixed... U Bein looks very different from what we've seen in august.
The good point is that you benefited from the turn of the bridge to include it in both your foreground and background, the thing that bothers me is that there's too much empty space in the foreground and that also the centre fisherman is too...centered (well I guess that's why he's the center fisherman :D ...).
I would like to see a crop in this scene that would involve the three main features : boat, fsherman and the roof in the middle of the bridge, but perhaps this is posible only with a diffrent point of view.
Btw, I don't know when it happens (november?) but pls don't forget to shoot pics at the balloon/lantern festival in you told me about if you're in Shan state at the time.

Yeah, you have the bridge well framed here from foreground to background, the textures of the wood comes out well. BTW the water is just as high this year.
