Photographer's Note
Taken on one of the canals that branch off from Inle Lake, this photo sums up the Burmese countryside for me. Tranquility, nature, religion.
It is the kind of country where you can just sit down for an hour and enjoy the setting as life goes on around you. This young boatman glided up the canal as I was enjoying the view, I just waited for him to pass in front of the stupa.
