Photographer's Note

Back from an impressive 3-week stay in Nepal.
Of course with lots of photo's! Very difficult to decide which one to post first. So many impressions still running through my head, so difficult to reflect without the sounds, smells etc. So, I decided to post them more or less in chronological order.
The first day in Kathmandu we went to the famous Durbar square. This is the place where kings were once crowned and legitamised and from where they ruled (durbar=palace). In 1934 a huge earthquake damaged a lot of the buildings, but most of them were restored. In 1979 the entire square was designated a World Heritage Monument.
The first photo is not of one the many beautiful temples, but of a daily life moment on the square. More to come!!
