Photographer's Note

Ram makes drums in his shop down the street. He is sitting on a drum in the street, in front of his sister's shop. They work 7 days a week, from early morning to late at night. They rarely take a day off, except for big festivals, or to visit their mother on the farm. The entire family now has shops along this street, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Family is very important to Nepalis.

Good, interesting photo. He looks so relaxed it gives a sort of peacefulness to the photo. I like the blue door giving contrast.

Is this the drum maker you refered to on TL? If it is i am glad to see a picture of him. he is quite the macho man! i like the evening sky mixed with the blue door in the background.
