Photographer's Note
This boat didn’t go unnoticed as I leisurely wandered on the beach of Banana Island, Coron, Palawan. This kind of boat is typically the one being used to ferry tourists from Coron town. A boat ride from the town to this island takes about 1.5 hours. Banana Island is adjacent to the other two lovely islands of Malcapuya and Bulog Dos where the serene and turquoise water will definitely soothe any weary soul.
My post before the onset of rainy season here in the Philippines.
This one is for Will (Perrett) who’s into sailing...but of course, not with this one.

Hello Michelle,
The beach is pristine and so placid, very much like the beaches in the islands of the Andaman Sea. On my 27" iMac, you cannot imagine how sharp and beautiful this photo appears. I think we should hang it in the group theme Paradise on Earth.
Warm regards, Michelle,
Bulent

Hello Michelle
Nice to see a new post from you, and I'm touched and honoured that you should think to dedicate it to me. Thank you! I love the elegant and spidery shape of this traditional outrigger, and set in such a beautiful location. I was indeed out sailing yesterday, but the Solent, even in sunshine, doesn't hold a candle to this place. Regarding the photograph, rather than the place, you've wisely placed the boat in the strong thirds position. Lovely work.
Kind regards
Will

Dear Mics
An idyllic beach with the powder-blue limpid water and the beautiful mountains in the background. The angle of the outrigger was beautifully composed and I love the soft, natural colours. Many would have been tempted to over-saturate or over-contrast. I'm glad you resisted. One thing I would have altered slightly is making a larger foreground and less sky, that way composing the shot using the rule of thirds, rather than a half-sky, half-water combination, thus focusing on the beautiful boat and sea.
Warmest wishes, lovely to see you posting again

Hi Mics
it looks to be a rather large boat yes?
also looks to be very sturdy in the water, no tipping.
for obvious reasons the water, the mountains, and the warm environment make this one tempting to all of us :)
thanks for this one
cheers

Another type of boat presented Michelle, the sea was calm that day and it was maybe the right time to visit the heavenly Palawan archipelago and its nearly 2000 islands, balanced hues, excellent resolution
