Photographer's Note

Early August 1996. We had just seen on TV a typhoon hit Manila the day before, and another was reported on the way from the Pacific Warnings against taking ferries were issued.

Not many people on the beach that afternoon. Clouds were piling up as wind was increasing; twilight was a couple of hours early that day... To me this was a kind of goodbye-stroll, as I was leaving for Europe the day after.

My Pentax Espio was in the pocket, and I did a few shots trying to capture that almost spooky mood on the beach I hope you will bear over with me for the technical shortcomings in this one!
