The Ice Cave. Dragon Teeth., a photo from Perm, Ural

Photographer's Note

This is the second photo from my last trip to the Kungur Ice Cave. These are the stalactits. This part of cave called The Dragon Teeth.

Kungur Ice Cave is known since 1703 when Peter the Great issued the decree sending a well-known geographer S.U. Remezov from Tobolsk in Kungur. He worked out the Uyezd plan and the first sketch of the Cave.
The Cave as an excursion site is used since 1914 and equipped with with 3 tour routes with different length:
The examination of a large excursion ring (classic route) continues 1h. 20 min. During this time 1. First tour is 1.5 km and around 1 hour and 20 min
Second is 1.8 km and 1 hour 40 min
Third one is the biggest, 2 km and around 1.5 hour. On this one there is a laser show and the route is 𢘫ore difficult�.
Some hundred thousand people come to have a look at this unique creation of nature every year. The total number of tourists has already exceeded 5 million.
In the eastern part of 𨧻ceThe Mountain� there are two sites of ancient settlement of VII-IX centuries, relating to Lomovatov culture. Yermakov𠏋 site of ancient settlement known since the XIX century.

Inside the cave there is narrow path which is called 懀he women road� because long time ago a foreign princes was falling down on this road and after she got back she get married, and now they say if a lady will falls down on this road she will get married soon.

Согласен - Пасть чудища! Классный ракурс, все как положено! Кстати, к слову, по итальянски "ни пуха ни пера!" Которое дословно у них вызывает сильнейшее недоумение, звужит как "In Bocca Al Lupo!" дословно - в пасть волку! отвечать тоже надо - "Crepa il Lupo" Чтоб он сдох!(волк в смысле-добрые они - италийцы) Вот на такой поучительной и любовной ноте в защиту животных и распрощаюсь!

Hello Serghei,

The motif is a bit scary indeed..!
reminds me of a story I read in the newspapers this morning, about a 12 years young skier that fall into a bear den and woke the sleeping animal - that did not appreciate the visit (in H酺jedalen, Sweden)...
The flashlight works well to illuminate the place!

Hi Serghei, I like this icy cave image very much. It looks so cold in there. A european guy mentioned how important it must have been for your ancestors to prepare for the cold. Great clarity. TFS. Murray
