Photographer's Note
Church of Transfiguration of Christ on Il'in Street in Novgorod (1378). Inside it consist frescoes of famous (in Orthodox tradition) medieval painter Pheophanus The Greek, sometimes called "the first expressionist" because of his manner of painting. Actually this is the only church in the world with his confirmed frescoes, all the others (inside Moscow Kremlin, for example) are dubious.
This place in UNESCO world heritage list.

Hi Uhu, Good clear composition of this ver historic church. It is a thrill to see so many interresting places in Russia via your lens. The blue sky is an ideal backdrop. Perhaps crop so next building is slightly off centre rather than exact middle. Maybe good to take several of the same seen, varying your POV slightly. Also maybe the front shadow could be cropped. Good work, Murray.
