Well, I'm back from a trip to a cities that stands along Volga River: Yaroslavl, Uglich, Rostov the Great, Kostroma and Tutaev.
Here's a shot of Resurrection Cathedral in Tutaev. Built by rich merchants in 1652-1678, it's one of the best examples of Russian architecture of XVII century. It has enormous frescoes inside, with all walss covered by them, as well as frwcoes outside (you can see them under the roof).
So that's it!

I jeszczo odna cerkiew w twojej kolekcji. I like very much small towers in russian ortodox church. Very nice warm colours. Interesting composition. Beautiful art!

Another magnificent church in your obviously endless series - but a not at all annoying sereis!!! This ensemble of buildings particularly is beautiful and I like all these details one can see here. What are these ropes from the crosses down to the roofs for? Is there a special purpose?
