Photographer's Note
Another stop at the Singapore Zoo. Here's the captive White Tiger named "Omar" which is one of the main highlights. After 30 minutes of lying down in one corner, Omar started doing his 'catwalk'. Perhaps he got bored prancing and walking about the same direction that he finally decided to take a swim. Again this photo was a result of devoted patience. I think I stood for more than 1 hour before finally getting a decent shot.

Hi!
Very nice shot! Your patience was well rewarded, the picture are great. The light are great. The only thing that maybe I do it was cut 1 or 2cm from de lower part. The frame you'd choosen fits very will in the photo.

Those two orange leaves floating in the water contrast beautifully the bright blue eyes of the tiger. They also give balance to the photo. Kudos to you for a great composition. And it looks like you've found the secret to great nature photography... patience and persistence.
Keep up the good work,
Ryan

Your picture is extremely sexy!!! Is this what they call a white tiger?
I love your note. Very instructive and I admire your patience of an hour to get such an awsome shot. I wish I could have the same quality of patience to get my pictures.

He sure is! It might have taken a while to get this one, but it paid of in the end; nice one! I have to say, though, that he does look a little bored.

Another great one of this wonderful animal. Your white levels are better on this one. Another great expression of pure amusement haha. I thought cats don't like water??

Great title, and fitting. What sweet eyes, but from a distance I guess! ;-)
Your image is made the more original by introducing a graphic and toneful element quite different from the upper half. Your intro sais humble photographer. I think you can dispose of the adjective, this shot and your note shows you know exactly what you want and...Get it.
Quite happy to discover your gallery, thanks to your kind critique.

Amazing shot. So clear and sharp, a great perspective. Colours are rich and I think the dark hue and smooth texture of the water makes the perfect backdrop for this 'portrait' bar none! You're an inspiration.

Great shot of this magnificent animal, not often that I see a white tiger. I really like the contrast of his brown stripes in it's furr. It was absolutely worth the wait. It really is very beautiful.
Thanks for sharing Che!

I think the only way he could figure out how to get rid of you was by obliging you with this wonderful photo. :p
It's not often we get to see a white tiger, much less see one that's been photographed so well. I don't know if you were using a polarizer or not, but I really like seeing his feet at the bottom of the pool. I prefer that to an actual reflection.

A very nice photo, with an interesting angle. The connection between the photographer and the tiger is beautiful. You make us feel present. A nice frame and good details and sharpness. Good JOB!
PS: I love this animal - for that you had the two points anyway!

Well worth the wait for the photo. I love how he is looking right at you. I also like how you include his full reflection at the bottom of the picture. So sad to see these animals in a zoo, but I realize a lot couldn't/wouldn't survive if it wasn't for zoos!
Thanks for sharing :)

This is a wonderfull shot. The look that tiger is giving you is really saying "i'm too sexy". I would advise you not to listen to some of the commenters here and refrain from cropping the picture. The leaves floating at the bottem really add to the composition. Even the dimentions of a photograph can influence the viewing experience and as such, cropping a picture is something one has to be very carefull about.
The only thing that bothers me a little is the fact that you posted this wonderfull picture on this site. Trackearth is -as far as i know- primarily concerned with photographs of places, not animals. Perhaps it would be better if it was posted on tracknature or tracklens.

Hello,
I like so much this picture style, and your picture particulary.
Colors and POV are very good. It's really great that you are able to take the tiger in the water.
Congratulation !

Damien.

It's an extraordinary animal! and it's a great shot as well. I would spend hours watching Omar because I love cats! They are smart and independent, and they don't make friends so fast, you have to deserve for their friendship. When a cat looks at me or into my eyes I always have a feeling that it wants to look into my soul. A great photo!
