Photographer's Note

I had the "pleasure" of being intervewed by a local Korea television show, along with the other memebers of the English newspaper we make (The Ulsan Pear) here in Korea. They took us to a Traditional restaurant that has been painstakingly recreated to resemble an upper-class home from times gone bye. Though the interview was a little on the embarrassing side because they had us doing a lot of "cutie" things while filming us eating, it was an interesting day.
I chose this shot for a few reasons 1) This is a backshot showing the traditional hairstyle and the ornate fixture. Hair was very important during these times and only upper class people could wear there hair up like this. 2) The bubbles... they don't fit but it is something very korean (just go to a wedding... they love the bubbles and smoke) 3) The background, it gives it just a more traditional feel.
