Photographer's Note
another shot from the hanbok fashion show. I just seem to keep finding shots that I like from that day. The look on this lady's face is what caught me. I am not sure what her expression is; shock, surprise, something... I'm not sure. It just caught my eye. I hope you all like it

The expression on her face makes it seem like the face-lift surgury was a little to tight.... But the photo itself is nice and sharp and I think only the very bright collar distracts my eye a little...of course that could just be my screen.
Nice work.

Hello Jason,
This is a beautiful portrait. With your excellent composition you have captured your subject's soul. That does not mean a small amount of tweaking would not make it better. The picture could be a bit sharper. More importantly, if you cropped the photo so that your subject's left eye (on the viewer's right) passed right through the vertical centerline of the image.
It was discovered in 1998 by the British pyschologist, Dr. Christopher Tyler living in San Francisco, that in all great portraits painted by the masters — from Leonardo to Rembrandt (and even Picasso) — the centerline passes very near one eye. It was an intuitive principle used by the great artists. (I wrote about this in my book on Leonardo, 'Math and the Mona Lisa.')
In any event great portrait! Greetings from Virginia,
Happy New Year
