Photographer's Note

Kandy market in Sri Lanka. I was always attracted with the betel leaves shape, the betel leaves seller was happy to let me shoot him at work in the back of his shop, where he and his helper were folding and storing the betel leaves in big bunches.

Thought the man had something Victorian in his stature, looked like Richard Burton in a cinema adaptation of a Kipling novel.

Yet another excellent shot! If I were to have a little spotlight, I might have liked the bearded gentleman to have a bit more light behind his head, but... No, sorry, it's perfect :-D

This is excellent. The black and white looks perfect here, as does your use of quite dramatic lighting. Just one minor thought, and that is the man on the right perhaps looks a little stiff in his pose, but it does not really take away from a very appealing shot. Pretty much perfect exposure I think.

This is a Luko shot, no doubt. I think you should stick to these kinds of shots: B&W with interesting characters, great light and a story. This is excellent. A perfect shot. Wonderful!

As the others iagree the exposure and composition are really excellent. The only small bit of criticism i have is that it looks a tad like a posed shot. I know this is often very hard to avoid. At least we have a clear view of their faces.
The overal athmosphere of the shot is fantastic.

This is a beautiful portrait. Well done indeed.
The lighting and DOF is excellent, just enough to blur the objects along the backwall to make the two men stand out.
