At the end of a prayer, Thai people put gold leaf on Bouddha images.
It's possible to buy them with flowers and incense in most of the temples, theses are offerings.

Another nice photo from Thailand. These statues will one day be covered with gold leafs after all the people putting on them for months and years.

A beautiful closeup of this intriguing Buddha. The other blurred Buddhas in the background created depth and also are an attractive element to the image.
