Photographer's Note

The Thale Noi wetland is flat as far as you can see with very few trees but plenty of creeks and water pools. However there are these two basic timber houses on stilts, which are used by the fishermen. Any other activity is strictly forbidden, in particular hunting. The fishermen try their luck by throwing their nets into the pools

I think a rather unusual sight and landscape of Thailand.
In this vast landscape the fishermen's huts on stilts are a real eye-catcher with their red roofs.
Attractive composition with the huts on one side and the wide view of the creeks left of it.

Away from the cities, coastal life, Thailand is such a pleasant place. I lived there 3 years - before digital and did much film taking. This photo seems very peaceful. Thanks

These vast wetlands have a beauty all of their own and you have captured it perfectly. The two huts with their red roofs make an excellent anchor point as we gaze into the far distance. Light and colours are both very appealing and sharpness beyond reproach.

This is a stunning composition. These small houses look rather out of place in this environment, but the red roofs make them look really outstanding. The red also contrasts very well with the gren vegetation. A well balanced and harmonious composition.

Le paradis des uns est l'enfer des autres. J'imagine les moustiques autour de ces maisons et toutes les esp鋃es aquatiques sous nos pieds. L'image est tr鋊 bien construite avec les maisons bien plac嶪s dans leur environnement.

Another fine shot from Thailand. I love your composition here, making the most of those two bright red roofs and a great sky. You placed the houses well in the large expanse of flats - great combination of weeds, mud and water as far as the eye can see. Great exposure.

The huts with their bright roofs make a fantastic FP in this flat landscape Urs. Your composition is spot on and while many may query your placing the horizon in the middle of the frame I think it works very well here. Equal importance is given to both sky and land and as both are well-detailed the balance is good. I think it also adds to the feeling of endlessness. Beautiful work. Warm regards Rosemary

This landscape is different. I like the lonely houses on stilts in the middle of the wetland. The red roofs really stand out. Good light and composition and beautiful sky!

A lovely composition! Whereas most of the scenery is composed of curved lines, the to huts on stilts provide a oblique straight edges. Very well seen and skillfully rendered.
