Hat guy and gal at Chatuchak, a photo from Bangkok, Central

Photographer's Note

They call this place the mother of all flea markets, the biggest in the world. They warned me about keeping an eye on my belongings at all times while walking around Chatuchak Market. What they didn't tell me was the interesting stench flowing through the entire place from the underground sewage pipes.

i love this shot!! it looks like it could be a painting. what effects were you using?? been to this market many times and have grown to love the chaos.

This is quite an interesting capture of these people`s daily life.
You used a long exposure and no flash and the final effect is very interesting; some people are just like shadows,others are sharp and clear.

This picture has the look of a painting and the feeling of lots of activity. The expressions on the faces of the people are fabulous. I wonder what the two people in the foreground are watching. I like the vibrant rich colors very much.

Stench or not, this looks like an amazingly interesting place. I have been to Bangkok, but unfortunately did not get the opportunity to go to Chatuchak Market. I don't know how you've done it...post processing....but the effect you've created, along with the interesting colours and perspective, this is a superb image which reflects well the foreign location and people. Very well captured and mastered.

Hello Bennett,
Great capture of this daily life scene on the Bangkok flea market. Excellent pp work, I wish I knew how did you achieve this, what technique... If it wasn't for those two with hats it would look like any flea market in the world, it's funny bit those pink plastic mule can be seen literally everywhere :) And girls stuck in front of bench with jewelry :)
