For my last posting from this revisit to Hue I'm taking you to another complex just outside Hue - Từ Hiếu Pagoda.
The current buildings of this Buddhist complex date from the 1840s although there had been an earlier temple.
At one stage it was taken over by eunuchs from the palace in Hue but these days it is home to about 70 monks.
There are 2 more photos in the WS.
I've just noticed that the main view is a little noisy in the water but it is much better in the large view.

Hi Ian,
What an extraordinary architecture, I really like the decorative details probably typical for this area. It feels as if it had some more color in the past which may have been washed out. I think the cloudy weather causes a particular touch, It would pronbably appear differently on a very sunny day.
Fantastic reportage,
M

ian
a marvelous gate with many interesting details to observe. I liked the ws too, the damage cause by the weather is evident and add a special touch to the photography, anyway it would be better if the monument was preserved for the next generations. nice images. TFS.
take care

Hello Ian,
An interesting composition with the brown reflections of the rather decayed buildings and the couple. You found nice and quiet corners for the WS.

Hi Ian,
This ancient gate looks wonderful. Signs of age really show on it. Reflections on the muddy water are quite nice too.

Hi Ian,
The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the Tu Hieu pagoda. The light is giving good colors rendering. Have a nice dya.

Hello Ian,
Also muddy water reflects the temple.
Both of your photos in the WS testify once again to the lush green environment in which these sites are located.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Ian
A marvellous reflection of the pagoda in the brown, muddy water, with the couple at right providing scale and animating the scene. Good sharpness and a soft diffused light. Tfs!

Hello Ian,
What a fantastic edifice, unfortunately in much disrepair. BTW, I really have to look hard to see the noise on the water, noise does not bother me that much.
Regards,
MT
