The "Sunflower"' smile, a photo from Hai Phong, Red River Delta

Photographer's Note

He is a fisher-man, lives in Cat Ba suburban district,one of the most beautiful beach in Vietnam.
I captured this photo when saw him and his seamans'd just moored after a weeks floating on the sea for fishing. I feel his face looks like a Sun Flower and chose that Title. :-)

What a large smile! Very good portrait, Ireland!
The angle is quite different from usual and makes the photo dynamic.
I wonder to whom and for what reason he his laughing. Makes me smile to see his joyful face.
When I saw the thumbnail and hadn't read your note yet, I thought he was a SHE... maybe because of the ribbons on his hat.
You're title is funny, indeed he has a "round" face and the hat draws petals around it.
You have a talent to shoot people daily life, for sure.

By far one of my favorite photos on TE!!! Very well done! You've "caught" this moment of joy perfectly. The colors and lighting are great, as well as the composition. I appreciate the tightness of it, it allows you to see the details of his expression very clearly.
