These old cars of the Fifties are all around Cuba, and this one called my attention parked in front of the sea and with the same turquoise blue of the Caribbean. Picture taken in Varadero, one of the most important touristic destinations of the island.

Hi Alexandre,
A very beautiful and colourful picture and a very pleasant landscape view. When I was a boy, in the beginning of the fifties, these cars were new and very much admired. If I remember correctly, this could be from 1953 or around then. Looks like a Chevrolet (?) It must have been perfectly maintained during all these years.

Even in the thumbnail, it was obvious that this was Cuba. The car, the vivid coours, the tropical scene. I love it, you've captured that sense of the Caribbean so well. Great shot.

Qu� bien captaste este bonito modelo azul y qu� bien lo fundiste con el azul del Caribe y la verde vegetaci鏮, en una composici鏮 muy agradable y atractiva.

The palm trees are helping to frame the car. The point of view is showing the details and colours of the Chevrolet of the 50's. The good luminosity is giving nice tints to the colours. Have a nice day.

Fine vision in blue of this early 50s classic, including the background of ocean and palm trees.

One of the positives out of our old diplomatic war with Cuba, capitalism versus communism was our American automobile industry was prohibited from exporting new vehicles to Cuba. The result was Cuba relied for decades on our used 40s, 50s and 60s automobiles and many have survived nicely.

gotta love these old beauties in Cuba.
it looks rather large doesn't it!
maybe not in the best of conditions, but certainly nice to look at and appreciate.
the seascape in the bg is a nice addition too.

How was the food in Cuba? I hear its rather bland
