This cathedral is located in the place where there was a colonial parish, which was destroyed by lightning in the 19th century.
The modern cathedral seen here was built in gothic style from 1906 to 1913, dedicated to Santa Ana, mother of the Virgin Mary, in 1959.

what a difference that blue sky makes, it really helps to make the Cathedral stand out - makes a great visual impact

Hello Pedro,

Splendid cathedral. I am used to Gothic style in red brick, it looks original white. splendid rich decoration and it looks marvelous against the blue sky. Lovely scenes in the foreground.
