Photographer's Note

A capture taken in bad light, but an important document of an alpine glacier's decay:
Pasterze, the biggest glacier of Austria, coming down from Grossglockner. Its length of 8 km decreases about 50 m annually!
This was taken in the summer of '84 from Franz-Josefs-H鐬e, Grossglockner high alpine road, and should be compared with what a visitor might see - or better: might no more be able to see - now.

Taken on slide film with Canon A1, professionally digitalized.
