Hallo Emma,

Vrolijk Kerstfeest.

U toont ons hier een kwaliteits foto uit Oostende, ja het zal daar wel even wat minder zijn van touristen gedurende deze periode, ik sta perplex van de kleuren and composition, u moet vrij regelmatig gekeken hebben naar onze Nederlandse vriend carper want ook u maakt gebruik van dit frame! Kleuren en de 1/3 en 2/3 is een school voorbeeld.

zeer fraaie kwaliteit van dit mooie spektakel. De kwaliteit is bijzonder mooi, goede verhouding, zeer fraai fotowerk. Ik wens U en Uw familie een goede jaar wisseling en een gezond 2007.

Er zit aardig wat diepte in deze foto en ook de kleuren zijn mooi en zacht. Een mooie winterdag aan het strand van de koningin der badsteden.

this is one of those photos that the thumbnail doesn't tell the whole story ... the color palette is beautiful .. the textures are great .. the sense of scale and vastness is wonderful .. but what makes it really effective is the relationship of the boat to the people ..

Aussi loin que le regard porte, la mer tout l�-bas nous entra螽e sur ce bateau, courant les mers vers d'autres rivages. La mer sans rel歊he vient sur la gr鋦e rouler ses vagues et mourir doucement sur la plage.
Une bien jolie composition.

I dont know.Cold colors,but photo works very warm and peaceful to me.I like the layers of ground,
water and air.People works good for measure space.Good thing is not considering rule of third here.Rules are here to brake them.I like composition.

Hi Emma,
The empty expanse is what caught my eye.I wonder what it would look like horizontally?Difficult conditions with the low light but you managed it well with good contrast and clarity.The subjects maybe a touch central but the clear cut and division between the sky and coastline is very good.Good work....take care.

i like this composition, the colours and the tones are beautiful, the is a cold atmosphere, a great winter atmosphere here..
you loose a bit of sharpness..perhaps the conversion for the web?

Beautiful tones and great textures all the way from the beach to the sky, Emma. I like how you gradually go from cool tones at the top to warm ones at the bottom. I wish the people and the boat were less centered, but the composition otherwise is great. A very effective shot. Regards, Ken.

Simple composition but of very pleasant result, good idea to include in the scene those people, they improve the perspective and they create a greater dynamism in the composition, the union of Sea, Sand and Sky create a beautiful landscape, seems a painting of tones with pastel colors. Thanks to share.

Very interesting shot - I like the "hasselblad" format you have choosen.
The composition for me is a bit non-balanced because the main subjects are the people in the front but the sky is too big, but is it only my feeling. You handled very well the difficult lighting situation! Congrats,

this shot is very brilliiant. The soft beautiful sky and the beach really give a good contrast to attract the eyes. the view is sharp and clear hough it is such a wide shot.
