Braambergstraat
Geographic information
Begin Rozenhoedkaai
End of Predikherenstraat
The Braambergstraat is a street in the historic center of Bruges
The origin seems to have been that there was a slightly higher piece of land, covered with blackberry bushes. It concerned a considerable piece of land that occupied the entire area from the Vismarkt to the current Koningin Astridpark. The later Predikherenstraat was then also called Braamberg. Part of the land was transferred from the city of Bruges in 1245 to the friars, who built a monastery there.
I hope you like it.

Hello John,
This part of the street was almost entirely in the shade, but it is still a very clear view with good light and colours. You had the good idea to stand opposite the corner, so we could look in two directions. The gables facing the street to the left are all beautifully designed, and two persons are nicely placed near the side some distance away. They frame the view well, just as the tree on the right side.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello John, a good point of view taken on the corner so we have the benefit of looking in two directions. I always like to see the pattern of the stepped fronts of the buildings outlined against the sky.
The tree makes a nice frame for that part of the picture.
The various people enlivening your scene.
Thanks for sharing, regards Jean.

Hallo John,
Het licht was heel mooi hier, op deze heldere herfstdag. Ook al is er geen direct zonlicht op de prachtige trapgevels, de kleuren komen nog steeds heel mooi uit. De compositie is ook uitstekend in balans.

Bonjour, cher ami John,
J'aime toujours autant découvrir ces façades pignons aux formes étonnantes (aux pas de moineau, gradins, redans...?) ?
L'ambiance est joliment reproduite comme d'habitude.
Amitiés.

A very nice photo of the street scene in Bruges, I can see there are not so many tourists in November and you can take the best photos without crowds :)

Dag John,

Hi John,
plenty of shade in this time of the year already.
Also again the thick jackets indicate the cold season already.
Lovely colorful houses well photographed in spite of the deep shade.
Very well done,
M

Hi John.
A beautiful and quiet corner of the city, cheerful facades and very different but very harmonized, the terrace is seen with people although it gives the sensation of a gray day.
A fantastic photo, with beautiful natural colors, very good lighting and excellent sharpness.
Well done .. I love it.
Enjoy the weekend.
Very best regards.
Luis.
