Maldegem-Donk

Flemish countryside in the spotlight, with Lake of the old hospital.

I have not fully recovered yet, but I try to undertake my bike ride along country roads.

This old pond belonged to the hospital, in order to be able to start the first extinguishing works in the event of a fire, before the fire men arrived.
Now the pond is beautifully surrounded by oak trees, and reflect beautifully in the water.
Another one of those quiet places in my area.

Hi John,

The reflections on the w3ater are extra to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the trees. The light is giving gppd rendering of the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello John,
You placed yourself well where you could include the straws in the foreground. They provide a nice lower frame and also complement the trees and their reflections in the lake. Seen like this against the sky the trees are quite beautiful even without any leaves. The branches and twigs create a very attractive pattern. The photo is well saturated and I like the strong contrasts.

beautiful weather day. The blue sky subtly decorated with some white clouds is so nicely reflected in the surface of the lake.

You have linked the f/g bulrushes very neatly with the reflections of the tree trunks, so they seem continuous with the actual trees.
It𠏋 a very well composed, curved pond, the trees like guards!

Hallo John, i wonder if there are fish living in this pond. It looks a perfect spot for anglers. The trees are reflecting in the water. Some reeds grow on its shores. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.
