This visit during Covid-19 a Bruges, this is allowed in Belgium at the moment
Windmill “The New Parrot Windmill”
De Nieuwe Paregaai is an old mill in Bruges that once served as an oil mill. The mill was originally built in 1790 in the village of Beveren-aan-de-Yzer. In 1970 the mill was moved to Bruges and the name of the mill was changed from "Hoge Seinemolen" to "De Nieuwe Papegaai". This mill served as a replacement for the mill "De Paregaai" that previously stood on this spot. The movement of the mill was done via the canal on two rafts. It was not possible to transport the parts of the mill through the city centre. Once the mill was up, it still had to be set up as an oil mill, but that never happened. The mill is still completely empty inside today. The mill was restored between 2009 and 2010, but no plans have yet been made to redesign the mill as an oil mill. The mill is easily identified by the parrot on the roof.
I hope you like it

Hallo John,
Een mooie foto van deze molen, gelegen op een heuveltje. De roze tinten en rode wieken zijn mooi te zien door de al behoorlijk kale bomen. De herfstblaadjes geven een mooi extra patroon.

Hello John,
It's a very "cute" windmill, but the original colours and its location no longer makes it look very old. The pink walls don't quite match the natural autumn colours of the trees and lawns, but I like the photo as such. There is a nice view of the road going along the water, where we see a person, and also the road going up the hill. The photo is as always perfectly sharp and well exposed, but maybe you should also have taken a close shot of the parrot and posted it as a workshop, because I can't see it.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hallo John,
Vele groeten, Paul

Hello John, an interesting project moving the windmill from its original site.
It looks good placed on top of the small hill.
The autumn colours add to the beauty of the scene.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hi John,
The trees are framing well the mill. The point of view is showing the details of the New Parrot windmill. The light is making the colors to stand out. Have a nice day.

Hi John
You mention the parrot on the roof but parrot is a curious name for a mill in Belgium. A good looking mill, even if it is empty and a good photo through the nearly bare trees.
cheers

hello, John, I remember well this pink mill on the small hill. Beautiful construction. I like the composition with the path and someone jogging there. Wonderful autumn picture. In Warsaw, t autumn came quite suddenly and most of the leaves are fallen already.

Hello John,
I remember how impressed I was when we visited Kinderdijt, in the Netherlands, and saw all those windmills. They are iconic in the Low Countries.
This one is particularly colourful in pink and red, a fine focal point amidst the greens and oranges of autumn.
You have supplied a useful, dual aspect; one to ensure we observe the details of the windmill and the other to ensure we explore the setting and notice the single figure, possibly a runner.
The trees are important in the f/g, helping to create a good sense of depth.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Dag John,
Groet Rob

from this point of view looks like the upper part of the mill is a red box balancing above a curved roof. interesting structure and nice photo.

Hallo John, that historical mill was restored and repainted in pink about ten years ago. It attracts the walkers, the visitors nowadays. It is located on a hillock in a park. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Hi John
Interesting background story but i also wonder how it got its bird's name. Cracking shot, lovely rich colours in this crisp seasonal beauty as the 'old lady' steals the eye and really stands out. The tiny fig is a vital key as ref point. Remarkable shot and tfs

Hi John,
quite an interesting design. It looks a bit as if the house was built and after a while someone decided to add a mill on its roof. The pink colored mill seems to be slightly different from its base and that results in this funny effect. Alternatively the pink mill has just landed on the little house...
Naked trees allowed you a better distance and nicer perspective.
Autumnal touch adds more color too.
Very well done,
M

Hello John,
The pink painted old windmil seen well through the trees, which are almost naked in autumn.
Fallen golden leaves added beautiful color over the green lawn.
A nice place to stroll by the trail on side.
Good evening,

Hi John.
What a beautiful and romantic place to walk, along those paths, the trees now with their golden leaves are wonderful, at this point the original mill stands out with its color, charm and beauty.
A magnificent color, which gives the image a lot of chromatic richness.
Excellent bright and sharp capture!
Well done. I like.
You have a good day.
Very best regards.
Luis.
