Hallo John,
Het zijn maar saai, grijze en mistige dagen de laatste tijd, maar hier doemen de bomen en brug mooi op vanuit de grijzigheid. De compositie is mooi in balans.

Hello John,
You are back to your normal photos, and this is technically better than the last one. The fog creates an interesting atmosphere and you found the right spot for a photo where the canal is seen diagonally. There are many fine details and they have all turned out sharp and well exposed. Just for a change the car is a bonus to the photo.

It is an interesting little drawbridge. It looks like the water level is low. The fog makes it look mysterious.

Hi John,
It is quite interesting to see that in Belgium and in Poland (Fis2 photos) the fog is so dense these days, while in Greece or Serbia (Costantino and pajaran) there was a heave snowfall.
Nice effect with the fog here. The silhouette of the bridge is still clear while the whole setting has decreased visibility adding a nice context to it.

Hello John,

I think you are being very sensible avoiding diverse crowds of people, as could happen in the cities.

This photograph is full of atmosphere.
You have a strong, quite sharp and colourful, f/g triangle, which quickly becomes misty and blurred, as you move deeper into the scene. It makes an excellent sense of depth, as well as mystery.
The canal follows a pleasing angle as it guides towards the trees, whilst the bridge, at an opposing angle, ensures that we explore the view towards the houses, too.

A great composition in this beautiful enclave, with the canal, the original bridge and the grove that follows the shore of the canal, the fog gives a very interesting touch of mystery.
In this wonderful image, the sharpness, exposure, colors and POV are fantastic.
