Stroll on an carpet of leaves, a photo from West-Vlaanderen, Flanders

Photographer's Note

During a walk between the splendid colourful leaves saw I this path with different walkers during a sunday afternoon.
Again with the attention to the depth and perspective.

Real field has been situated on the border between sand and sand glue and do never be consequently a rich agricultural land been. There heath grew and there sheep grazed.
During 1960 and next years where here militair activities, maybe good for it conservation of it forest, but very bad for the birds throug the shout off arms
The domain lay also on the territory of 3 municipalities, so that nobody responsibly felt self really.
Through the cutback of military activity and the partial protection through nature point VZW goes it since shorten defense in the good direction.
There its again heath area and there is a planted garden, a forest with speciality of the area kinds thus a very nice stroll environment.

I hope that can enjoy it.

This is another wonderful image from you. The composition is superb, with the focus being on nature and its beauty....in colour, in simplicity and in it's meaning to mankind. The inclusion of the walkers is important ,and adds a nice element to the photo, in that it emphasises the fact that nature supports humans....humans are the lesser of the two. Very good colours, lighting and clarity. Very well done.

This is a very nice autumn shot! Your composition is great using the path to lead the eye through the photo to the hikers. The people add both perspective and life to the shot. The lighting and colors are fine with nice sharpness and DOF.

Geen spectaculair licht hier, maar wel een zeer rijk kleuren palet. Mooi in het perspectief opgezet met veel diepte door die bomenrij.
Contrast tussen het rood en groen word mooi gebroken door die mensen...mag ik wel zien.

Dag, John. De herfstkleuren zijn hier heel mooi en de mensen die in het bos wandelen brengen contrast en keven in het beeld. Het perspectief is goed, maar ik denk dat het nog beter was geweest als de eerst boomstammen aan d elinkrekant nog dichter bij waren geweest.

Ce qui m'interpelle le plus dans ta photographie c'est sa luminosit� car � cette 廧oque de l'ann嶪 les for皻s sont plut矌 sombres et avec les donn嶪s techniques que tu communiques sous ton commentaire je ne vois pas comment obtenir une telle clart� dans un bois avec l'ouverture et la vitesse indiqu嶪s.

pleasant view of a walk through the forest, I like the leaves on the ground and the light through the trees. With those walkers in the distance you add some pleasant life and the opening with the way gets more sense.

Hi John, it is very difficult to photograph a forest like this as the trees often just get in the way. In this case you have managed to find a great clearing where you can see the forest, and the people on the road. All of this is done with great colour and clarity. Very nice.

The gradual colour shift from bottom to top is very nice! Going from earth tones - greys and browns to the yellow/reds and later on the greens. Very nice work with the exposure well controlled to the left and a nice off-center placement of the whole compo. Nice!

Cette photo m'interpelle, car 2 saisons s'y combattent au m瘱e instant, alors qu'elles ne se rencontrent jamais.
Un tapis de feuilles mortes sur le sol forestier signifie un automne bien avanc�.
Un feuillage fourni d'un tendre vert annonce un printemps actif.

This is the autumn caught in just one image.
Its spirit and its beautiful colors are very well gathered in this composition, I like the great perspective of the path between the trees, with its carpet of dead leaves, and the nice contrast between the ochre tones and the green tones.

I love the way the picture comes at you. I like how the edges of the road meet the bottom corners of the picture, leading the eyes into it. The colors are vibrant and sharp.

A miraculous photo, it would be hard to make a better shot of this scene I believe. The people in this photo make it seem livelier and hence sets it apart from the usual forest/road photo. I think that this forest would dramatically change in colour and form from season to season; it would be interesting to see in winter in particular. Beautiful depth here, thanks to the well placed 𪆫anishing point� in the frame. The lime green/orange combination is natural and refreshing.
