Photographer's Note
This is the next posting from our mutual TE project with George/"Aegean" - this time we chose to present you boat details we saw, but from different boats and with different attitude in the main context...:-)
After a few days of cold and windy weather we had here, finally today it was a warm and sunny day, with soft light and wonderful clarity of the air. We visited Balchik where one can feels as if in the very boat paradise indeed...:-))
What you see on this picture is the upper part of a boat hull, with some details and textures.
Hope you will enjoy it the way I chose to show it to you.
Have a great new week all of you! :-)

Geat textures on the wood, and the great yellows go really well with the somber wood colors. The details are excellent form the texture of the nails to the spider web. I particularly like the rusty tear, as if the boat was crying...

Close enough and with enough details still to remain recognizable.
Could've been without sky or at least focused nearer, but details are still clear.
Very harsh sunlight on white areas but the rest of the colours are superb.
The other thing I like here are different textures.

Beautiful textural study, Maria. In addition to the combination of the wooden elements and the layered paint, I am particularly drawn to the spider's web detail. Excellent colors and good to have some of the sky included at the top. Well done. Greetings from London :-)

Such a nice photograph Maria. I would have never tought of taking such a close image of a boat as this one. I really enjoy the results. There are beautiful strong contrasts here and the details are just perfect in this very artistic photograph. The blue sky help to make this photo also.
Keep this project going, it's a lot of fun for us.

I don't know about boats but this one apparently suffered from very rough maintenance and repair : The wood protection leaked on the hull, the fiber is not fully covered on the prow, nails are bent, ...
However the picture is powerfull : bright contrast, fine details and the wood texture is nicely rendered.

Maybe, Maria , this is your photographic feeling or secret : I like this picture, but I don't know why. Perhaps, while a close-up, and this is always interesting, or because very colourfull and sharp. Anyway great.

Hi Maria,
Nice to see cobwebs, insects and bare wood alongside the brightly coloured yellow painted part of this boat.
Well done,

Hi Maria - it's an interesting theme you and George made. I've been rather slow to discover it! This one, I think, is my favourite of the bunch.
