Photographer's Note
Here comes the next detail in the row... :-)
First we thought with "Aegean" that it will be only one detail in our TE project, but after viewing all the pics we took, we discovered a lot of them of the same theme in each other's camera.
Hope you don't mind to see this time how we percieved an old paint surface - seen in two different places, but both pictures are presenting boat paintings...
Though the colours in our two pictures are different, hope you will feel a boat heart beating in each one of them...:-))

Nice idea to upload these two photos at the same time - I like the effect of it on the Gallery's mane thumbnail page!
;-D
I prefer this one to you first posting, Maria - maybe because it's done in less colours, but still with inclusion of blue sky (well, one can't miss sky out, can they?).
Nice details and compo!

Bonsoir Maria,

Great to see the paint in a such close up picture. I like also the little part of blue sky. Very good expostition too, Maria!

Very good "macro shot". I like the colors here, especially the peace of blue sky against the black and white. Details and sharpness are spot on. Bravo Maria.

I think you've influenced George with this pair in the project, nicely observed detail, but I in this case the effect would have been more striking if the crop had left out the sky. Still a nice shot.

Your mutual TE project with George is wonderful, Maria, and this shot is great, too. The details and the tectures are excellent on this very close shot. I like the white painted area very much, it looks like snow on the ground. Beautiful.

No need to apologize, Maria, textural studies like this are usually intesting - this one surely is ;-) The different thickness of color on top of the wooden surfaces makes for an interesting effect, and the small patches of rust are a nice add. I also like the triangle of blue sky that you kept in the frame here. Well done.

Maria, I don't know if I told you,, I do some painting too, sometime from the pictures I take. This one, for me, would be wonderful painting... It leaves the imagination go and go.. Wide open.
I really like this image.

Hi Maria
Excellent detailed close up of the texture of the cracked & peeling paint. Simple & strong graphism, & use of 3 tones, has worked well here.

Oh,both of you have a great project,...and here you show a strange work, abstract and like a modern painting, and details are great,a semi B&W work, very well composed,Maria, and you have a nice playing with light and shadows, too.

Well, well Maria, this time I am not so sure about the result.
Technically working: Yes. Good use of light and details: Yes. As some abstract presentation working: Yes. So then for me still I miss something - probably the eye look for some significant detail or whatever to focus on - but hardly finds it....

Bonsoir Maria, cette veille dame est encore plus marquée que celle qui l'a précédée, les couches de peinture les une sur les autres , à chaque couche une année qui s'envole, et le temps passe.

Hi Maria, What I like very much in the picture is the strong graphism, the almost abstact quality and the way you boldly zoomed in - I don't see you do this very often. Where you loose the plot a bit is in the dark shadow area on the left; 'cause of its size and lack of definition - it captures too much attention and throws the pic a bit off balance. Very nicely done though!

Now ypu're getting closer. Good details. Leaving out the blue sky breaks the monotone. Good work.

Just a part of a ship, but why is it always so nice to photograph ? I have one too (on TL however...) and I also like to picture these textures. This one is very nice because of the light, and only a few colours, simple but effective, nice Maria!
