Photographer's Note

As a part of our mutual project with "sunny" we decided to play a bit with small colorful abstracts for the "details" theme...So that is all about in today's posting:-)...I did choose an abstract from the side of an old grounded boat in Kamchia river area...The colors are very vivid and represents the Bulgarian flag colors too (White,Red,Green)...also the surface of the old wood has nice texture showing its ageing...I hope you like it:-)

Abstract or not, the compo is as it should be considering the subject - with horizontal lines.
Different layers of colours and scratches go, naturally, in the same direction.
Beautiful red!

Εκπληκτικά χρώματα φίλε Γιώργο! Το κόκκινο (το αγαπημένο μου χρώμα ως Ολυμπιακός) είναι εκπληκτικό και δένει πανέμορφα με το λευκό. Τώρα το πράσινο δεν το συμπαθώ γενικώς και πολύ αλλά κι αυτό δίνει ομορφιά έστω και λίγο! Εκπληκτική σύνθεση!

This project of yours does seem like great fun. This seems very much like some of Maria's, in fact the kind of shot that cuaght my attention in the first place. This looks great, and very well rendered with your D70.

Maybe abstract but a real painting. Colors and lines are great.
I have no difficulties to imagine a large print of this picture hanged on my living room wall. Bravo!

Great textures and stunning colors in this one, George - it looks like a piece of modern art I might have seen (or still be seeing) hanging on one of the London museums' walls. Fine definition and crisp details, well done zooming in on this one.

Nicely captured colours and textures.
One remark, not important i guess, but a slight crop form the bottom to eliminate a line/scratch that appears to climb up towards the right bottom corner would stick my view more to the centre :)

It's an impressionist painting this picture, Georges... Red is an agressive color and it's a little the feeling I have when I watch your photo... Anyway, it's a nice idea! Well done!
